Well, after many indecisions and even more themes tried I, chose “Tarski”.

The blog’s name is Kuro (but written Kvro), which means ‘black’ in Japanese, but as you can see… right now it’s appearence hasn’t much to do with black.

This reminds me I can teach how to say some colours in Japanese.

Here is a list of 12 colours in English and then in Japanese:

  • black – kuro くろ
  • blue – ao あお
  • brown – chairo ちゃいろ ['cha' means 'tea']
  • gray – haiiro はいいろ['hai' can mean 'ash']
  • green – midori みどり *
  • orange – daidaiiro だいだいいろ ['daidai' can mean 'bitter orange']
  • pink – momoiro ももいろ ['momo' can mean 'peach']
  • purple – murasaki むらさき
  • red – aka あか
  • sky blue – mizuiro みずいろ ['mizu' means 'water']
  • white – shiro しろ
  • yellow – kiiro きいろ ['ki' can mean 'wood']

note: ‘iro’ いろ means ‘colour’
* I’m not sure that ‘midori’ means ‘green’
